Our second concert for 2025 features the fiery rhythms and sensual melodies of Latin music from around the world. Samba, Tango, Cha Cha, Flamenco – it’s going to be heard to stay in your seats for this one!
The concert will feature acclaimed Queensland guitarist Clancy Anderson performing the beloved Rodrigo “Concierto de Aranjuez”, a tour de force of flamenco virtuosity and soulful beauty. SCSO will also perform the gorgeous tango “Danzon no.2” by Arturo Marquez, and the joyous Mexican “Huapango” by Moncayo. Latin inspired orchestral favourites like Bernstein’s “West Side Story Suite” and Ravel’s “Bolero” round out this program we know you’ll love hearing. Don’t miss out!
