The Events Centre Caloundra is the largest performing arts and conference centre on the Sunshine Coast. Our vision is to be Queensland’s leading regional venue for arts, entertainment, cultural and corporate events while providing diverse business events and exceptional service delivery for the local community and visitors to the Sunshine Coast.
About the Role
➢ Ensuring outstanding events leadership, supervision, coordination and communication
➢ Ensuring delivery of a creative and innovative hospitality experience
➢ Assisting management in the delivery of events food and beverage operations
➢ Rostering employees to cater for events and ensuring high quality service delivery
➢ Supporting management with reporting on all financial aspects of the Event Services Department
➢ Achieving excellence in customer services and exceeding the expectations of promoters, clients and patrons
➢ Monitoring compliance in accordance of workplace health and safety, regulations and policies
➢ Positively lead, supervise, train and mentor Event Services staff to facilitate appropriate teamwork and communication outcomes
If you are experienced in providing best practice events and hospitality services in a dynamic, customer focused business environment and the ability to supervise a team of casual and contracted staff on hospitality service delivery, we would like to hear from you. We require an organised natural leader who is able to lead and motivate our team members. Other qualifications and experience include:
➢ Minimum one (1) years’ in a role involving supervision, preferably in events or food and beverage service.
➢ Operational experience with a high attention to detail and forward planning
➢ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with exceptional organisational skills.
➢ Availability weekends, nights and split shifts
➢ Motivated to focus on continual improvements and working in a team environment
