the events centre - covid conditions of entry

Our priority is to keep our patrons and staff safe. When entering the building we ask you follow the below conditions.

Patrons must QR Code check-in when entering the venue. All personal information will be stored inline with The Privacy Act 1988 and The Ticketing Code Of Practice.

If you are feeling unwell, traveled to a hotspots or overseas in the past 14 days, we ask that you do not enter the building.  


The Events Centre Covid Safe Plan

TEC is operating at 100% capacity with an Approved Industry Covid Safe Plan. Our electronic sign-in system continues to be used for visitors to TEC. This is available by scanning the QR link or by using one of the available terminals at the entrance to the venue.

The Event Centre would like to thank all of our valued patrons in advance for following the Queensland Government health advice and we encourage patrons to contact our staff if you have any questions or concerns.


·         When attending indoor events it is STRONGLY recommended that patrons wear their own mask when not sitting in their allocated seat. Such as entering and exiting the Venue, leaving your allocated seat to go to the bathroom or purchasing from cafe or bar. 

·         Due to increased capacity, there will be patrons occupying the seats directly next to, behind and in front of you during the event.

·         Remain in your seat allocated to minimise circulation.

·         Only use the seat that has been designated to you.

·         Maintain social distancing where possible on entry and exit, or when moving around the Venue.

·         Practice high-level hand-hygiene using the sanitiser stations located around the Venue.

·         Stay home if you are feeling unwell or showing symptoms of COVID-19.

·         Stay home if you have been overseas or to a COVID-19 Hotspot in the last 14 days or if you have been in contact with someone who has been overseas or to a COVID-19 Hotspot in the last 14 days COVID-19 Hotspots Information.

·         Patrons may be denied entry to, or removed from the Centre for failure to comply with any direction or request from the Centre Manager, including but not limited to, refusing to sit in the designated seat, or failing to adhere to any social distancing, hygiene practices or other processes, as deemed appropriate by the Centre Manager.
