Construction on our long-awaited upgraded toilet facilities have begun, with completion expected by mid-late August 2026. These new amenities will boost capacity by around 50%, helping to keep queues moving and visits flowing smoothly.
This project has been made possible with the generous support of Mayor Rosanna Natoli and the Sunshine Coast Council, whose funding means we can finally say goodbye to long lines and say hello to more seamless event experiences.
Thank you for your ongoing support and patience as we make The Events Centre even better. We’re committed to ensuring every part of your visit is a loo-vely one, and we’ll keep you updated as the project progresses.
Stay tuned … the big unveil is just a flush away!
Attending a show? Here’s What You Need to Know
Pre-arrival
Keep an eye out for your pre-show email, sent approx. 3 days before your show. It includes key details to help your experience run smoothly from the moment you arrive.
Parking
During construction, a small number of undercover parking spaces will be unavailable for a short period. Additional free and timed on-street parking is available in the surrounding streets – please check local signage for time limits and conditions. We recommend allowing a little extra time to find a park.
Temporary Amenities
To keep you comfortable during construction, fully equipped temporary toilet facilities will be available at both ends of the venue. These amenities are located outside the building, so you’ll need to exit the buidling briefly to access them. Two accessible toilets are also available inside the venue at either end of the venue. Our friendly team will be nearby and ready to assist with directions.
