Role

We’re looking for a Kitchen Hand support our kitchen operations with a focus on high-quality food preparation and presentation. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

Hours

Our business is event driven, which requires flexibility in your availability to work both day and evening shifts. Although not every weekend has events, providing Weekend availability is also essential for this role.

Your main duties will include:

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas.
• Operate a commercial dishwasher to the required standard.
• Store crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment and utensils in the correct areas of the kitchen.
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe kitchen environment.
• Support kitchen operations, including plating, and cleaning duties.

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of food safety.
• Strong interest in a culinary career and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• This position requires a valid National Police Certificate

The Events Centre, Caloundra is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and enthusiastic Theatre Technicians to join our casual technical crew.

As the Sunshine Coast’s leading performing arts venue, The Events Centre hosts a diverse program of live performances, touring productions, conferences, events and community activities. With two theatres and a range of function and meeting spaces, we offer a dynamic and rewarding environment for technical professionals.

Available Roles:

• Audio and Audiovisual Operator
• Lighting Operator
• Mechanist/Flyman

Responsibilities:

As a member of the technical team, you will work closely with touring productions, hirers and venue staff to deliver professional technical services and ensure the successful delivery of performances and events.

The role requires flexibility and availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

With two state-of-the-art performing arts theatres and a range of meeting spaces, we offer a vibrant and dynamic work environment. From hosting cultural events and conventions to delivering exceptional entertainment experiences, our venue is at the heart of the Sunshine Coast’s vibrant arts and entertainment scene.

Responsibilities:

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patrons. We are looking for individuals who can work flexible shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and both daytime and evening hours.

Requirements:

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in bar work and cash handling.
• Ability to carry plates in a banquet environment.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and both daytime and evening hours.
• Barista experience is highly desirable.
