The Events Centre has a Covid Safe Venue Guide in place to ensure the safety of our patrons when attending events at the venue. Make sure you familiarise yourself with the Covid Safe Guide and Conditions of Entry prior to attending an event.

Be entertained by the kaleidoscope of concerts, music, dance, plays and shows for all ages. The Events Centre, Caloundra is the Sunshine Coast’s premier performing arts and conference centre. Bring your event to life in our diverse conference spaces.

The Events Centre is one of the largest function centres on the Coast with dining, high tech staging and equipment for large and small dinners, awards nights, conferences, theatre and special events. The venue has two theatres and dining spaces for over 1,000 patrons.

Accessibility

If you require mobility assistance, please call The Events Centre Box Office on (07) 5491 4240 to reserve your tickets and notify the staff. We will then arrange for a staff member to assist you when you arrive at the theatre.

Mobility

If you require mobility assistance, please call the Box Office on (07) 5491 4240 to purchase your tickets and notify the staff of your needs. Please arrive at the theatre at least 45 minutes prior to the show’s scheduled start time and notify staff on arrival of any special requirements. The ushers will assist you to your seat. For the safety of all patrons, walking frames and mobility aids will be moved to a dedicated holding space to the side of the theatre during the show and returned to you at interval and the end of the show.

Hearing Assistance

The Events Centre has individual Hearing Assistance FM Units. A personal neck loop is worn in conjunction with hearing aids. The wearer will hear via the T SWITCH, activated on the hearing aid. There are also headsets available for people who don’t wear hearing aids but may require a boost to their hearing for the best possible experience. When making your booking, please advise staff of any special requirements.

Wheelchair Seating

The Events Centre have dedicated seating areas for patrons using a wheelchair and their guests in both the Kings Theatre and Playhouse Theatre. Call the Box Office on (07) 5491 4240 or visit the Centre to book wheelchair seating.

To ensure the best accessibility and safety for all patrons, let us know the size and type of wheelchair at the time of booking, or if you will transfer to a seat once inside the theatre. Wheelchairs and mobility aids will be moved to a dedicated holding space to the side of the theatre during the show and returned to you at interval and the end of the show. This includes patrons who can transfer from a wheelchair to a seat.
